Support Services

Respite Care

Our Respite Programs are designed to provide parents and caregivers a short period of rest and relief from their caregiving responsibilities. These breaks allow parents and caregivers a break in order to avoid burnout or crisis. Many parents and caregivers use this opportunity to take care of necessary daily responsibilities aside from caregiving including time to themselves. Regular breaks between the child receiving care and the families or primary caregiver are key to developing a healthy relationship and bond with the child.

SLP

Speech-Language services address a range of communication and related disorders. Provided by certified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), these services include assessment and treatment for challenges with speech sounds, literacy, motor speech, feeding and swallowing, social communication, language comprehension and expression, and fluency (stuttering). Our SLP specializes in helping children build strong, effective communication skills.

Our Programs

Purposeful Play

Join our Purposeful Play Program designed to nurture children’s social-emotional learning, selfexpression, creativity, and language/literacy skills. Through engaging activities like dramatic play, games, songs, stories, puzzles, manipulatives, building, experiments and messy play, we create an interactive learning environment where every child can explore, discover, and develop key life skills in a fun and interactive way.

Milestones Matter

This SAFE, JUDGMENT-FREE SPACE welcomes all questions, answered by qualified professionals, including Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Counselors, Psychologists, and more. If we can’t answer immediately, we’ll find an expert who can and update you next time. Attend our Friday morning sessions and connect with a variety of professionals ready to help!

Sensory Explorers

Our Sensory Explorers drop in program is designed for children with sensory preferences. Our playroom is thoughtfully designed to cater to diverse sensory and developmental needs. With sensory-friendly toys, interactive play stations, and adaptive equipment, the space encourages exploration and social interaction in a safe and supportive setting. Please note that The Wonder Nook supports Neurodivergent children and their caregivers. Our drop in program will give preference to these children and their families.

Nurture by Nature Parenting Group (Birth - 3 Years)

This group is designed to help parents/caregivers learn instinctual, holistic approaches that support a child's natural development. Understand how multiple systems in your baby develop simultaneously, and gain strategies to optimize their early development. You will also learn to recognize early developmental challenges, embrace intuitive parenting and get back to the basics for your child's well-being. Each of the Nurture to Nature Parenting Groups will focus specifically on your child's development during the ages identified.
