Meet Our Founders
The Wonder Nook began as a Sensory Playroom and has evolved into a Centre for Neurodiversity and Community Support Services. This evolution was driven by our passionate conversations about the community's unmet needs and the crucial support parents sought for their neurodivergent children.
Chelsea, with a strong business background, and Kara, an expert in speech-language pathology and frontline therapy, envisioned creating a safe place where families could feel supported, not judged, and receive real answers to their questions. Our combined expertise and shared values have shaped the core of our organization.
Our Personal Values:
-
Kara: Respect, kindness, open-mindedness, and honesty.
-
Chelsea: Connection, community, empathy, and support.
Together, our core values have transformed The Wonder Nook into a place where we make people comfortable with differences, especially invisible ones, ensuring everyone receives the support they need to succeed. We are committed to building comfort and understanding within the broader community. In a world quick to judge, we strive to foster a community that understands and embraces neurodiversity.
At The Wonder Nook, we believe in the power of empathy, inclusion, and genuine support. Join us in creating a community where every individual is valued and differences are celebrated.
